Viscount Goschen , Governor of Madras 1924-29
Viscount Goschen was Governor of Madras from 1924 to 1929 and went on to become Viceroy of India upto 1931. The marriage of his daughter Cicely Winifred Goschen with Major Edward Bertram Portal was celebrated in a grand manner in November 1926.
