      European and Native holidays in Madras Presidency in the year 1832. See the beautiful spellings.  What festival is  Calatapetta Wooroovady. It is Kaladipet Uriyadi celebrated in Kalyana Varadaraja  Perumal Temple,  Kaladipet. St. Thome feast  is Rathostavam of Mylapore Kapali Temple.

my doubt is vinayagar chaturthy was originally initiated at maharastra, by sivaji, then redeveloped by balagangadara tilakar stated as

" He thus organized two important festivals, Ganesh in 1893 and Shivaji in 1895. Ganesha is the elephant-headed god worshipped by all Hindus, and Shivaji, the first Hindu hero to fight against Muslim power in India" https://www.britannica.com/biography/Bal-Gangadhar-Tilak

So he made festival as popular on 1893 itself, then how it was declared as holiday, please post authenticated copy if available, because now a days chance are there to create.

Ganesh Chaturti has been celebrated for 1000s of years. In 1892, Tilak just used this as a way to circumvent political public gathering legislation by British and organized people for freedom movement

Hazarat Dastagir Sahib Dargah, Triplicane, Madras

      Hazrat Dastagir  Sahib Dargah, Dr.Natesan Road in 1870s. He was descended  from a Turkish  family  and was a kin of Adil Shahi  dynasty of Bijapur where he was born. He settled in Madras after much travelling all over the  country. He predicted his death and asked his disciples not to do the funeral  prayer for him by a Imam. It is said he himself  appeared and did the Janana for himself.  He died in 1752 . The  Nawab of Arcot  Walajah   built a dargah in 1789 over his burial  site. A revered Sufi Saint.
